Well.. my new phone got here. Now, remember that I had called Cingular and they said that they would support any tri-band phone, even if I bought it from someone else.
Well, guess what. My tri-band phone won't work IN OREGON. Pretty much anywhere else in the country, or with a different carrier...
see... the frequencies in use internationally are 850/900/1800/1900
My phone supports 900/1800/1900
My old phone supported 850/1800/1900
Cingular supports 850/1900
Cingular in Oregon ONLY supports 850
damn

Malachi | I think we are going to drop Cingular over this. There are 4 frequencies in the spec -- and they normally support 2 of them... except in Oregon... except Oregon? WTF? Fuck Cingular and their "we only use 1 frequency in Oregon" bs. Posted by Malachi on Tue Oct 03 14:35:00 PDT 2006 |
WILL POWER! | I'd say fuck them too if I was you. Posted by WILL POWER! on Wed Oct 04 09:08:00 PDT 2006 |
Malachi | Hmmm. look at this. They give me a new SIM and now I can connect... Posted by Malachi on Wed Oct 04 10:29:00 PDT 2006 |
