Google is being accused of Censorship. This is a tough one... On one hand, the press should not be censored... On the other hand, no one complains if a company removes specific content (like child porn). Does a company have the right to limit what information they index, or is any removal of content breaking freedom of speech/press?

Sylkwyrm | What is DRM? And how do I get a green suite? Posted by Sylkwyrm on Wed May 24 01:24:00 PDT 2006 |

Malachi | DRM is Digital Rights Management. That's things like where Sony (who is currently being sued for it) put a virus on the music CDs so that if you played them on your home computer, it installed a backdoor... although, it is just SUPPOSED to stop you from copying it... the copying it part is the DRM. Sarah | Gee, the google thing is tough. I mean, I think they probably have the right to censor as long as they say that they are GOING to do that. I can understand being pissed if you just got a surprise where some of the information was missing due to censorship and no one told you. Posted by Sarah on Wed May 24 01:49:00 PDT 2006 |
Sylkwyrm | Google may have the *right* to censor, but I thought censorship went against the companies morals. What happened google?? Posted by Sylkwyrm on Wed May 24 01:57:00 PDT 2006 |

WILL POWER! | The Google thing isn't exactly censorship. They are choosing not to list certain sites now under their news section, and considering the content I wouldn't exactly call it news either. Posted by WILL POWER! on Wed May 24 02:01:00 PDT 2006 |
